Ernest Lawrence Middle School, established in 1968, is located in Chatsworth. It is the home of the Lions. This school provides a Gifted Magnet and a Pioneering Science Magnet to its students. In 2019, it had approximately 1,465 students and a student/teacher ratio of 26:1.
