Mount Gleason Middle School, established in 1959, is located in Sunland-Tujunga. It is the home of the Mustangs. This school offers an After School All-Stars program, a Beyond the Bell after school program, a Gifted/High Ability magnet, a School for Advanced Studies (SAS) and a Science Technology Engineering Arts & Mathematics (STEAM) magnet. In 2017, 870 students attended this school and there was a student/teacher ratio of 26:1.
