John A. Sutter Middle School, the home of the Miners, is located in Winnetka. It was founded in 1949. This school offers a School for Advanced Studies (SAS) and a variety of clubs such as a Lunch Bunch Book Club. In 2019, it served over 1,500 students and had a student/teacher ratio of 23:1.
