Florence Nightingale Middle School, founded in 1939, is located in Los Angeles. It is the home of the Nighthawks. This school provides to its students a Business Entrepreneurship Technology magnet, a Medicine Health Kinesiology magnet, a Science Technology Engineering & Mathematics (STEM) magnet, a Visual and Performing Arts (VAPA) program, and a Mandarin Dual Language program. In 2019, 723 students made up the student body and there was a student/teacher ratio of 20:1. Their motto is “Once a nighthawk, always a nighthawk.”
