Thomas Starr King Middle School, the home of the Lions, is located in the Silver Lake area of  Los Angeles. This school provides its students with a Gifted Arts and Technology magnet, a Film/Media magnet, and an Environmental STEAM magnet. In 2019, the student body consisted of 1,931 students and the student/teacher ratio was 25:1.
